Food Assistance Resources

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Pennsylvanians buy food. People in eligible low-income households can obtain more nutritious diets with SNAP increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets. Those who are eligible receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) ACCESS Card to make food purchases. To learn more click here.

Through the Pennsylvania Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), pregnant women, mothers, and caregivers of infants and young children learn about good nutrition to keep themselves and their families healthy! To learn more click here.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally funded program that provides free, nutritious meals to children when school is not in session. Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive, even when school is out. Continued nutrition and the opportunity for social and physical development provided by SFSP help children return to school ready to learn. In the summer, community meals sites have free meals and snacks for kids and teens 18 and younger! To find a summer meal site visit:

SUN Bucks, Pennsylvania’s Summer EBT program is a new grocery benefits program that provides households with a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy food while school is out. Benefits can be used at local participating retailers to purchase groceries. To learn more visit:
